The thought of starting a business is one that has crossed the mind of virtually every adult in America, and the reason for this is simple: the United States of America remains the land of opportunity, regardless of any crisis or recession.
Indeed, no matter what your current position (employed or unemployed) I am sure that you have envisioned a future where you will have no boss and yet you will be making enough money to support yourself and your family.
However, I know for a fact that starting a business following the traditional business models is not always easy, as you usually will need a considerable sum of money as startup capital and an array of human and material resources accompanied by a painstaking planning process without which your are bound to fail.
This is where being in America gives you an edge over any other place in the world, because the fact that we are a technologically advanced nation with virtually everyone being able to access the internet, gives us the unique opportunity not only to tackle the local market but also the worldwide market in many ways that only involve the use of your computer.
This new business model is what we call online business, which can be categorized as any entrepreneurial effort carried out entirely or almost entirely from a computer with little or no human or material resources other than yourself and your pc.
The advantages of starting an online business are many, but just to mention a few I can tell you that:

2) You can run your business from any place where you can access a computer with internet connection, that is from home, office or any other place where you can sit and surf the web.

The reason this is being possible is simple: the internet allows you to automate 80% of your business operation, so once you build and put to work your business structure, it will run almost on its own.
4) To achieve a highly profitable online business you will not need to hire people, or find a location, you will only need two things: will to learn and will to work hard at least in your early stages.
The secret (if I may call it that way) to actually achieving a successful online business operation is to have at least:
a) Education. This is the most essential part of this business model, because a true education is what will give you the ability to build a powerful and profitable online business structure from scratch. So I warn you, there are no magic formulas or shortcuts, education is the only realistic path to a consistent both short term and long term success. If you do not commit to acquiring the knowhow you need, you will not get any results.
b) Tools and Resources. This is not an essential part, although their importance should never be underestimated, because there are some softwares, systems and other tools that will enable you to execute your business plan in a more efficient and effective way, which will translate in more profits within a shorter period of time. It is much as it works in a traditional business model, if you own a bakery and you make cookies, you can do that by hand, but your profits will certainly be greater if you have a machine that makes them automatically.
There are many options to start an online business thus gradually creating a significant stream of income, and among those my personal favorites are internet marketing and forex trading. If you educate yourself and put your hands on proven-to-work tools and resources, you will be able to start a successful online business with little or no capital with the potential to become a your main source of income within a year or less.
